Y Ddraig Ffon is Welsh for
"The Dragon Stick"
Why Welsh well they have a dragon on their national flag and I went their to the place where the dragons lie.
Fairly young this one. Made from Eucalyptus tetradonta "Stringy Bark" Nice bit of timber this dragon stick. Its long undulating shape is meant to be. Did you know that the mythology of most dragons be they Chinese or Middle Eastern, Roman or Celtic originate from Serpent gods. And "Nalyod" the Australian Aboriginal serpent of creation is often depicted as a horned and dragon headed looking serpent.
I was thinking of naming this stick Nalyod after the dreamtime serpent. But then under ultra violet light I saw the fire within. See below. The head glows under ultraviolet light
This stick unlike the Arnie on page 3 is no warrior. It's more a status thing. One looks the part with a dragon by your side. Your hand sits on the back of its neck and its young fearsome stone head sits out proudly in front as you move forward.
